I can't believe it is already 2010! I really don't update this enough, and am not sure why I do at all, because no one but me reads it (I don't think... if I'm wrong let me know! haha)... but it is nice to look back on what was happinging in our lives at the time I wrote. As of now, Dillyn is almost 15 months old! It is so unbelievable how God has blessed us.
Erik is doing great with his job and has made a lot of friends. I am surprised at what wonderful Christian men God has placed in his life. It's fantastic!
I am still teaching, but it is so different for me now. I love it as much as ever, but am so torn every time I leave Dillyn. Teaching gives me fullfillment, but there is nothing like being home with Dillyn. Last week was my first week back after winter break and it just about killed me! If I had the opportunity to stay home I would definitely snatch it up.
Dillyn is doing wonderful. She is walking, talking, and can identify over 50 animals! She is so frigging smart. She catches on to things so quickly and has a fantastic memory. She loves learning new things and daily looks for new things to fill her world with. She is still sleeping with us, which we have grown to love. I know it won't be like this forever, and we cherish the snuggles now while we can. She wakes us up with kisses all the time. She also is very fascinated with body parts.... lol. She can poke my eye over and over and say "eye" and it never gets old. She can identify her: eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth, hands, feet, toes, knees, shoulders, booty, belly button, eye brows and legs. She loves to read and play peek-a-boo. Her baby dolls are her favorite toys. Her favorite videos are "Your Baby Can Read"... these are AMAZING. Note to self: start these earlier with the next child! They work so well. Dillyn can read the words dog, ball, clap, and arms up. I am sure that she knows even more than I realize.
We had such a wonderful Christmas with family. We had a white Christmas this year which was just magical. It was Dillyn's 2nd Christmas and she loved tearing into presents. She got baby dolls, a play kitchen, clothes, a fish aquarium for her room, and TONS more. She is definitely spoiled to perfection! It was a perfect Christmas because I got to have my family together for the first time. Erik was on shift last year, so it just didn't feel like Christmas without him. It was a perfect ending to a perfect year.
Bring on 2010!
